Welcome to Hillcrest School

Hillcrest is a K-8 school located near Broadway Terrace and Hwy 13, in Oakland, California. Our community of teachers, staff, parents and students strives to provide all students with a firm foundation in academic skills and an appreciation of lifelong learning.

Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Fest at Hillcrest

The word is that the Oratorical Fest was outstanding!

The winners for the Oratorical Festival were:

Sage and Nico Plaisted

Wine Mine Ecoteam Fundraiser February 2

Enjoy a congenial evening of yummy tastings with fellow Hillcrest parents at the Wine Mine while supporting the Ecoteam's many projects to green up Hillcrest . The proceeds of the evening will benefit all K-5 students who are currently exploring the world around them in a hands on learning environment during Monday Ecoliteracy classes. Each year the ecoteam works together to expand our gardens, courtyards and ecology projects.

When: Thursday February 2nd from 6:30 to 8:00 pm
Where: The Wine Mine, 5427 Telegraph Ave., Oakland
How Much: $25.00 per person.
Make your checks out to Hillcrest PTA with Wine Mine in the memo section. There will be an envelope in the office for checks.

Pizza Friday Starts February 3 - Registration Deadline February 1

It's still not too late! Yes, the spring session of Pizza Friday commences this Friday, February 3 and the deadline for registering was February 1, but you may still get in by contacting Carol Newberger or Linda Sawyer asap. For more details on Pizza Friday, see the Pizza Friday Spring Order Form(pdf).

Even if you ordered pizza for the fall semester, you must submit a new form and payment for the spring semester so your child will continue to get pizza.
