Creating Your Portfolio

This is what you need to do to make your portfolio:

- Step 1: Organize all of your work. Each thing that you did in class should be in its own folder. Delete old copies of files that you aren't using anymore.

- Step 2: Convert all of the files that you can into .pdf format (Powerpoint, Word, etc.). You DO NOT need to convert web pages, video, or photoshop/paint drawings. Use Neevia for the conversions, OR, just Google "convert pdf free"

- Step 3: Save any Photoshop or Paint drawings as .jpg files.

- Step 4: Make your portfolio using Notepad to write the HTML, or using one of the templates in Microsoft Publisher.

Assignment: Build Your Own Computer!

Due: First class after Christmas.

I would like you to design your DREAM computer - if you could build any kind of computer that you liked, what would it be like? Get some old magazines or catalogs and cut out pictures (ask your parents first) of all of the computer parts that we talked about in class:
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- CPU
- RAM
- Hard Drive
- Chip / Processor
- Printer
- CD/DVD drive
- etc.
Paste all the pictures together on a sheet of paper.
If you want to be really creative, and you have a computer at home, you can do the assignment in Powerpoint or another image editing program, and print it out before you come to class.
