Ghana's motto is "Freedom and Justice" and their anthem is "God Bless are Homeland Ghana". Ghana is named after the medieval Ghana Empire of West Africa.

Ghana was created as a parliamentary democracy at independence in 1957, followed by alternating military and civilian governments. Ghana is located on the Gulf of Guniea only a few degrees north of the equator. The most populated city is Accra which has a population of 2,096,653 people, the second biggest city is Kumasi which has a population of 1,604,909 people.

The climate is very tropical. The southwest corner is hot and humid, the north is hot and dry. Ghana also holds the biggest artificial lake which extends through eastern Ghana.
