Spelling/Vocabulary: Word list with class definitions from The Golden Goblet & due dates for the week of 11-9-09:
adder: n, a venomous viper; a snake.
aghast: adj, struck with amazement, terror or horror; shocked.
artisans: n, a skilled worker; a craftsman.
beneficently: adv, in a way that is kind or charitable.
crucible: n, a container for melting metal or other substances.
fathom: v, to come to understand.
hewn: v, gave form or shape to; carved.
ingrate: n, an ungrateful person.
molten: adj, fused or liquefied by heat; melted
revered: adj, worthy of honor.

Due dates:
Thursday, 11-5-09: Alphabetize list, break into syllables, note accent marks.
Friday, 11-6-09: Definitions & parts of speech. (We will develop class definitions during this class.)
Monday, 11-9-09: Write a sentence for each word using class definitions.
Tuesday, 11-10-09: Write each word 3 times; study for spelling/vocabulary test.
