peevish: adj, irritable, cranky, easily annoyed.
shaman: n, a medicine man, or spiritual leader.
slough: n, a muddy, swampy area.
specialized: v, concentrated on a particular area of expertise.
stunted: adj, held back in growth.
taboo: n, a rule that forbids or excludes; banned.
thicket: n, dense growth of bushes, small trees, or undergrowth.
tussock n, a clump of grass or twigs.
Write a sentence for each word. Due Thursday, 2-5-09.
Writing: Expository Essay. Due dates this week:
Tuesday, 2-3-09: Intro & outline.
Wednesday, 2-4-09: first draft, exchange with editing partner. Do edits.
Thursday, 2-5-09: edits of partner's paper.
Friday, 2-6-09: final draft with all drafts & outline.
Writing 6: Bring in a spiral notebook for writing intensive class on Thursdays and Fridays.
