Complete an illustrated letter for 15 points due 6/14:

Imagine that you are a 16th-century European traveler who has just completed a walking tour of Florence. Use the ideas and illustrations you recorded in your Reading Notes to write and illustrate a letter describing your experiences in Florence.

Your letter should be between 500-700 words (or one page) and follow these guidelines:
1. Include the date and a proper salutation. ("Dear...")
2. Write your letter to a friend who has never been to Florence and knows little about the Italian Renaissance.
3. Write an introduction that gives a general description of Renaissance Florence.
4. In the body of your letter, include a description of at least four places in the city. In describing each place, focus on these questions:
-What was most interesting or memorable?
-What do you know now that you didn't know before?
-What are some of the most noteworthy advances made in architecture, art, literature, science, mathematics, or politics?

Use precise, descriptive words to create a visual image in the reader's mind. Include at least one illustration, picture, or symbol for each place you describe.

5. Be creative in writing and illustrating your letter. After proofreading and editing your draft letter, type or write your final draft neatly in ink.
